Hear and Be Healed

Hearing and Healing
Bishop Sean Teal, Th.D.

“And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret” (Luke 5:1).

The main attraction in the ministry of Jesus was the Spoken Word of God. People wanted to hear Jesus teach and preach The Word. The crowds “pressed upon Him”.

The Greek word for pressed gives the picture of burning coals. They were on fire with a desire to be taught by The Word. The people were impassioned, excited and enthusiastic about the teaching and preaching ministry of Jesus.

While Jesus is teaching from the boat of Simon Peter and Company a miracle of increase happens. It happens by The Spoken Word. See Luke 5:5-9.

The next scene in the chapter is the call of the disciples. They forsake all and follow Jesus according to The Spoken Word. See Luke 5:10-11.

The next scene in the chapter is the healing of a leper. The leper is healed by The Spoken Word. See Luke 5:12-13.

The next scene reveals the direct connection between what is heard and the people being healed. The people who came to hear were healed. What you hear can heal!

“But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities” (vs. 14).

The next scene in the chapter is Jesus in private prayer. The connection between private prayers and public power is irrefutable. If you want the miracle producing power in your life spend time alone praying.

Muchness Meditations

Muchness and Helpfulness

“And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?” (Luke 16:12).

It’s the other that gives us our own. How we treat others; how we help others; how we prefer others and how we support others determines how much of our own we will receive. What you help make happen for others God will make happen for you.

Think about it. Jesus teaches us that something can be yours and yet you may never have it. It’s yours but it can remain out of your reach.

Jesus wants us to own muchness. Muchness is a dividend of helpfulness. When we are willing to help others it moves us closer to our own dreams and visions.

Have a helpful day! May the Lord bless others and may you have your own! – Bishop Sean Teal

Break Word Curses

Break Word Curses

Bishop Sean Teal, Th.D

“Listen, I received a command to bless. God has blessed, and I cannot reverse it!” (Numbers 23:20).

I will declare Your Word. You have spoken and I speak what You have spoken. Your Word is out of my mouth like a two-edged sword. Your Word is the sword of the Spirit. You are the Warrior King. You are Jehovah Sabaoth. I join with the armies of The LORD that fly the banners of Jehovah-Nissi.

Holy Father,  I praise you for Your Word. Your Word is eternal. Your Word is my faith. Your Word is my joy. Your Word is my victory. I praise You for revealing Your nature, character and power through Your Word. I believe You and Your Word.

I declare victory over every sentence that has spewed from the mouth of the enemy. I touch and agree with the saints and servants of  the Most High God who are touching and have touched, agreed and will agree with this prayer. We are binding and loosing. May the words of the enemy that have come against our souls be discomfited, disassembled and disavowed. Grant us to enter the battle that wages against the weak and unknowing.

I take my stand against the words that work as the wiles of the devil. I lift the shield of faith and quench the fiery words and accusations of the wicked one. I redirect and renounce all words that are directed against me. I declare that my mouth is open and that no word weapons formed against me will be able to prosper. I declare that the words I speak come from the spirit and life of Jesus. Therefore, I boldly declare I have the victory over the enemy.

I repent from the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart that were not acceptable in Your sight. You are my Rock and Redeemer. You are my Heavenly Father and Curse Breaker. I receive forgiveness and cleansing. I look to You to restore my soul and anoint my head with the freshest and finest of oil.

According to the anointing of Jesus Christ I declare my every burden is removed and my every yoke is destroyed. I am in the breach against the enemy. I deny access to his words and works. I order my steps in The Word and overtake the dominion of every demonic decree. I  take joy in the overthrow of the hordes that are assigned to assist fallen Lucifer.

I now command that every word of distraction, division and deceit is destroyed. I shut the mouth of every demon spirit that threatens me with failure, sickness, poverty, loneliness and death. I shut the mouth of every foul spirit that speaks to my fears, anxieties, and worries. I am delivered from the words that seek my destruction.

I take ungodly words into captivity and present them to Christ. I will not host strongholds, demonic doctrines or seducing voices in my mind. The weapons I use are mighty through God. I pull down the words that depress, distress and demean me. I rise into victory. I stand in confidence. I am a carrier and bearer of The Word.

My mouth is open with the praises of God. I extol the only true and living God. I stand in faith and warfare on behalf of those I know and love. Release my family from old words that wounded their spirits. Deliver our generations from word curses, soul talks, bullying, insults and offenses. I disable gossip, incantations, hexes, vexes, spells, horoscopes, fables, soothsaying, palm readings, tarot card declarations, sexting innuendo, and false prophecies that were spoken over me and my loved ones.

I command every conversation that comes into my hearing to be sanctified and full of purpose.  I only open my ear gates to wisdom, truth and knowledge. All of my conversations and contacts are righteous. I remove, block, ignore and dismiss every conversation that is carnal, corrupt and controlling. I speak protection over my mind. I speak a guard over my mouth. I have the tongue of the learned. I speak the wisdom of The Spirit. I pray in the Spirit and with the understanding. I am full of God’s word.

All my praises to The Word made flesh! In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

The Prosperity Mentality

much·ness | \ ˈməch-nəs

What is “muchness”?

The quality or state of being great in quantity, extent and degree of magnitude. Muchness is what makes a person or thing major, meaningful, material, momentous and monumental. It is not simply becoming big or bigger. It is to become more substantial, significant and superior. It is more than grandeur; it is greatness. It is the ability and the capacity to exceed your present limitations. It is the instinct to increase. It is the aptitude of abundance. It is the propensity to prosper.

Psalm 145:3 says, “Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable”. The word, “greatly” in the original Hebrew text is describing “muchness”. The word is intensive and superlative. God is much and muchly to be praised. He is to be praised because of His extravagant muchness. God has an unsearchable greatness! How much muchness is that?

God wants us to experience His nature and character. God wants us to live in muchness. Jesus says, “I am come that you might have life; and that more abundantly” (John 10:10b)

We need to meditate on the muchness of God. We should put our minds on His muchness. We should be speaking, thinking and expecting muchness. Muchness is a mindset.  Muchness is your mandate. Muchness is God’s wisdom and will for your life.

These 31 Proverbs and the precepts they teach will show you the mechanics of muchness. Read them out loud. Read them again. Declare them to be true about you. Believe them and obey them!

  1. Proverbs 2:3-4 – Insight and intelligence is your key to prosperity.

Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures.

  1. Proverbs 3:13, 14 – Fire Ignorance. It’s too expensive.

Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding. For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold.

  1. Proverbs 8:10, 11 – If you learn you will earn.

Choose my instruction rather than silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold. For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies. Nothing you desire can compare with it.

  1. Proverbs 9:10 – Honor God in every decision you make about money.

Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.

  1. Proverbs 15:16 – Prosperity is peace with a positive cash flow.

Better to have little, with fear for the Lord, than to have great treasure and inner turmoil.

  1. Proverbs 16:8. – Your little is powerful if you handle it God’s way.

Better to have little, with godliness, than to be rich and dishonest.

  1. Proverbs 16:16 – You need a strategy before you get the money.

How much better to get wisdom than gold, and good judgment than silver!

  1. Proverbs 17:16 – Invest in people who want to increase.

It is senseless to pay tuition to educate a fool, since he has no heart for learning.

  1. Proverbs 20:15 – Your wealth follows your words.

Wise words are more valuable than much gold and many rubies.

  1. Proverbs 6:6-8 – Inner motivation is your secret to increase.

Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter.

  1. Proverbs 6:10, 11- Sleep is a necessity; don’t make it a luxury.

A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.

  1. Proverbs 10:4 – A work ethic is epic.

Lazy people are soon poor; hard workers get rich.

  1. Proverbs 10:5 – Poverty is shameful when it is avoidable.

A wise youth harvests in the summer, but one who sleeps during harvest is a disgrace.

  1. Proverbs 12:11 – Prosperity works with a dream, not a day dreamer.

A hard worker has plenty of food, but a person who chases fantasies has no sense.

  1. Proverbs 13:4 – You get what you work, not what you want.

Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper.

  1. Proverbs 13:11 – Wealth is about managing time and making money.

Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time.

  1. Proverbs 14:23 – Let them talk while you take the initiative.

Work brings profit, but mere talk leads to poverty!

  1. Proverbs 20:13 – Stay woke! Opportunities are always open.

If you love sleep, you will end in poverty. Keep your eyes open, and there will be plenty to eat!

  1. Proverbs 21:5 –  Prosperity is a commitment to the process of success.

Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.

  1. Proverbs 24:33, 34 – Make plans everyday that inspire you to get up.

A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.

  1. Proverbs 28:19 – The lottery is one of many fantasies of financial freedom.

A hard worker has plenty of food, but a person who chases fantasies ends up in poverty.

  1. Proverbs 3:27 – Money is power to honor and help deserving people.

Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them.

  1. Proverbs 11:24 – Generosity is a wealth strategy.

Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything.

  1. Proverbs 11:25 – Make it happen for somebody else.

The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.

  1. Proverbs 14:21 – Help those who can’t help you back.

It is a sin to belittle one’s neighbor; blessed are those who help the poor.

  1. Proverbs 14:31 – Treat poor people like they are God’s special guests.

Those who oppress the poor insult their Maker, but helping the poor honors him.

  1. Proverbs 19:17 – Giving to the poor is a key to prosperity.

If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord— and he will repay you!

  1. Proverbs 22:9 – Generosity blesses the rich and the poor.

Blessed are those who are generous, because they feed the poor.

  1. Proverbs 28:27 – Break the back of lack through targeted giving.

Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to poverty will be cursed.

  1. Proverbs 3:9, 10 – Your money needs a God-sized priority.

Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.

  1. Proverbs 3:5, 6 –  Your truest treasure is your trust in God.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
